Implementation period: 01.11.2021 – 01.05.2024

Funding line: ERASMUS +

Project number: 2021-1-PL01-KA220-ADU-000033539

Project presentation

Effective and appropriate use of new technologies presupposes the achievement of a level of competence in this area, since misinformation that is considered false, inaccurate or misleading can cause damage to our society. Therefore, there is a need for targeted media literacy initiatives that convey the ability to think critically and recognise misinformation. This project aims to develop tools that help the target group to understand the internal content of a programme, interpret its design, recognise external factors and elements that influence it, compare media interpretations with reality and react to the potential impact of TV form and content. Systemic action and support is needed for both adults and their educators. In this context, the project is also innovative for the whole partnership.

Target group

The target groups of the MC-VIEW project are

  • members of disadvantaged groups (low skilled individuals, unemployed, adults at risk of poverty, etc.)
  • adult educators.

In addition, the project will create tools for institutions supporting and caring for disadvantaged adults, such as: adult education centres; social care institutions, adult schools, third age universities, associations supporting disadvantaged adults and fighting social exclusion, as well as local and regional government educational services and adult educators.

Project products:
  • Self-study course “MC-VIEW” training material.
  • Personalized approach to media literacy in the digital environment.

Together they will constitute a comprehensive online and personalized media skills training available in the “Centre” application, which will operate as a set of algorithms and artificial intelligence mechanisms that, through a profiling session, will be able to organize all training content in the most effective way for specific users. The result is the possibility to create individual and tailor-made learning paths, ensuring a better quality of the learning process.
