La stampa 3D (3DP) \u00e8 destinata ad avere un impatto significativo su molti aspetti della nostra vita e del nostro lavoro nel futuro prossimo. \u00c8 sempre pi\u00f9 utilizzata nelle scuole di tutto il mondo, grazie ai suoi effetti positivi sul processo educativo.<\/p>\n

Stampa 3D \u00e8 un termine generale per indicare un insieme di tecnologie in grado di costruire oggetti tridimensionali a partire da un file digitale con un processo di aggiunta progressiva di strati di materiale. Al giorno d’oggi sono disponibili molte tecnologie 3DP basate su diversi approcci e che fanno uso di materiali diversi (plastica, metallo, cemento, cioccolato, ecc.). Tra queste tecnologie, la Fused Deposition Modelling (FDM) \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 popolare e la pi\u00f9 accessibile. Inoltre, \u00e8 il 3DP adatto per l’uso in ambiente scolastico.<\/p>\n

FDM crea l’oggetto fondendo un filo di plastica (chiamato filamento) e applicandolo, strato dopo strato, attraverso un ugello riscaldato. Nell’immagine sottostante \u00e8 possibile vedere una stampante 3D FDM all’opera.<\/p>\n

La stampa 3D di FDM richiede un computer, un modello digitale 3D, un software per la stampa 3D, di una stampante 3D e di un filamento. Un processo tipico 3DP \u00e8 prevede le seguenti fasi:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Il modello digitale dell’oggetto da stampare in 3D viene creato mediante modellazione 3D o scansione 3D. In alternativa, pu\u00f2 essere scaricato da un archivio di modelli 3D come www.thingiverse.com<\/a> .<\/li>\n
  2. Se necessario, il modello digitale viene tradotto in un file di stampa 3D, di solito di tipo STL.<\/li>\n
  3. Il file di stampa 3D viene preparato per la stampa, questo processo viene completato con la generazione di un file (chiamato G-code) che include tutte le istruzioni necessarie alla stampante 3D per costruire il pezzo.<\/li>\n
  4. Il file G-code viene eseguito sulla stampante 3D e il pezzo viene creato.<\/li>\n
  5. Se necessario, il pezzo \u00e8 finito (pulito, lucidato, verniciato, ecc.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
